I was first introduced to Systems Automation and Process Controls Engineering through a program at Miami University - Systems Automation Springboard to Internships, or "SASI".
I enjoyed the three week workshop learning about Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controllers (PIDs), and many different types of sensors and other measurement taking devices.
The process of making PLCs, PIDs, and sensors all connect and communicate with each other is an intricate process that I have enjoyed thus far, and I look forward to learning more.
